Your horse will be analyzed by a juror - or jurors - from your breed society. The current juror for Gypsy Vanners is the Founder of the Gypsy Vanner Horse Society, Mr. Dennis Thompson. Your horse will score according to how closely it meets the breed standard.  Click here to see a sample of the score sheet: Sample Score Sheet

Include a check or money order made out to Certified Horse for your certification and membership fees.

FEES:

Certification fee: $200. per horse (only paid once)
Initial membership fee: $10. for each month left in that year, paid in full at time of joining. Yearly membership renewal: $240. per farm due January 1.

If your horse is not accepted, your entire membership fee and $175. of the certification fee will be returned to you with $25. (per horse) kept as a jurying/processing fee.
If your horse is not accepted, you may resubmit.  You could be asked to retake the photos (we'll let you know) and you might be asked to supply video of the horse. Resubmissions cost $25. for jurying/processing.

Once your horse is certified, you will receive a signed certificate:

At that point you will be able to purchase a branding iron to be used on your horse's hoof (It's painless! We'll include complete directions).  Additional items such as a medallion for your horse's bridle and a stall plaque depicting the certification wheel will soon be available, too.

Your farm name and your certified horses will appear on the Certified Horse site. The horse buying/breeding public will be directed to our integrity based membership through national advertisements in publications, at events and on the Internet.

Welcome!
