Your horse will be analyzed by a juror - or jurors - from your
breed society. The current juror for Gypsy Vanners is the Founder of the Gypsy Vanner Horse
Society, Mr. Dennis Thompson. Your horse will score according
to how closely it meets the breed
standard. Click here to see a

Include a check or money order
made out to Certified Horse for your certification and membership fees.

FEES:
Certification fee: $200. per horse (only paid once)
Initial membership fee: $10. for each month left in that year, paid in
full at time of joining. Yearly membership renewal: $240. per farm due January 1.
IE: If you certify five horses on August first, your initial expense
would be $1,000. for the certification fees (@ $200. per horse) and $10 x 5 remaining months
($50) for a total of $1,050., with a $240. total yearly renewal
thereafter.

If your horse passes the vet inspection and photo jurying, you will
be notified. Once your web site is reviewed for accuracy (see FAQ)
and you have committed to the goals of the Certified Horse
program, your horse will be officially certified.
If your horse is not
accepted, your entire membership fee and $175. of the certification fee will be returned to you with $25.
(per horse) kept as a
jurying/processing fee.
If your horse is not accepted, you may resubmit. You could be
asked to
retake the photos (we'll let you know) and you might be asked to supply
video of the horse. Resubmissions cost $25. for jurying/processing.

Once your horse is certified, you will receive a signed certificate:

At that point you will be able to purchase a branding iron to be used on
your horse's hoof (It's painless! We'll include complete
directions). Additional items such as a medallion for your
horse's bridle and a stall plaque depicting the certification wheel will
soon be available, too.

Your farm name and your certified horses will appear on the
Certified Horse site. The horse buying/breeding public will be directed to our integrity based
membership through national advertisements in publications, at events
and on the Internet.
